Construction’s Next Generation?

General Excavating’s employees are always looking for ways to give back to the community. Inspiring the next generation of construction workers, as well as passing along some life skills, was part of the motivation in a recent donation of a tool chest filled with tools. Camp Cornhusker, a camp run by the Boys Scouts of America, offers a variety of activities for the individuals who participate in their camps. A vocational skills program has been added as a way to expose campers to the work associated with trades such as plumbing, auto repair, carpentry, and many others. It is the hope that a spark of interest can be ignited in the future workforce by providing hands-on experience.
