Midtown Crossing, the Blackstone District, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are areas of Omaha undergoing a significant amount of change with more large projects on the horizon. As Omaha’s planners and developers continue to evaluate property and potential projects, infrastructure must also expand to support additional traffic and the demand on utilities. One of these infrastructure improvement projects is the Utilities Extension, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Jones and 39th Street Project. General Excavating, working as a subcontractor to Grunwald Mechanical Contractors & Engineers, has been assisting on the construction of steam and chilled water, vaults, and associated work. This project will extend UNMC’s Central Utility Plant’s ability to serve the new Sterile Processing Facility and potential growth beyond. For 30 years, General Excavating has had the same goal as general contractors, mechanical contractors, owners, facility managers and others on many of the projects that have changed Omaha’s landscape, that is, do the work once, done right and as promised. For more information on how YOUR “UNDERGROUND” PARTNER can assist in the successful completion of your project, contact us at (402) 467-1627.
