Salt Creek, Lincoln–There are times when we wonder how did we end up here? Most often projects go best if you start at the bottom and work your way to the top even if the starting point is in the middle of a creek. The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District required some maintenance work to be performed at four sites along Salt Creek from 20th Street to Superior Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Erosion and time had impacted the soil along the banks and the drainage structures emptying into the creek. Following the design and specifications of EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., General Excavating repaired miscellaneous concrete structures, regraded sloughed banks, and placed rip rap and associated work on this levee maintenance and repair project.
