Yesterday, one of General Excavating’s hydro vac crews assisted Lincoln Fire & Rescue with a technical rescue following a trench collapse.
Trench collapses are one of the deadliest hazards in construction, and too often these situations have a different ending. This serves as an important reminder that no deadline or shortcut is worth the risk. Proper trench protection and safe excavation practices save lives.
We are grateful to see another positive outcome from a trench collapse and are honored that Lincoln Fire & Rescue trusted General Excavating to assist with the rescue efforts. Working together, the quick response, coordination, and teamwork of everyone involved helped make this rescue successful.
