Metro Community College – Fort Omaha Campus is embarking on a large expansion project to provide its students the opportunities to acquire the skills needed for success in today’s workforce. To help meet this goal, Kiewit Building Group is leading the way on a $90 million construction project. The Center for Advanced and Emerging Technology, the Construction Education Center, and the Academic Skills Center are three facilities designed to incorporate new approaches to learning and real world application. Holland Basham Architects is the architect and Lamp Rynearson & Associates is the civil engineer on this large and exciting project expected to be complete in 2018. General Excavating, working as a subcontractor to Kiewit, was selected to install the site utilities, and Grunwald Mechanical is working as a subcontractor to General Excavating on the installation of the hydronic piping.
