We are excited to welcome the Class of 2024 interns to General Excavating! We are excited to highlight the hard work of two exceptional interns who were a key assignment at a utility site in Seward, Nebraska.
Sawyer Dickman and Johnathan Klaus played crucial roles in a project to replace a water main that serves the city of Seward. This vital infrastructure upgrade is essential for maintaining the town’s water supply system. John, a recent graduate from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, was an intern with General Excavating for a year where he has since earned his role as Utilities Foreman. Sawyer, a student at Concordia University, joined General Excavating over the summer, when he was able to get firsthand experience in excavation, pipe installation, and site management before returning to school.
Our interns assisted in the careful excavation of the existing water main, learning the importance of safety, precision, and effective communication on-site. They also worked with our experienced crew to install new pipes and ensure the system met modern standards for efficiency and durability.
At General Excavating, we are proud to provide hands-on learning opportunities for the next generation of professionals. We look forward to seeing how this experience will shape our interns’ future successes, and we are excited to continue supporting their growth throughout their time with us. We are happy to have our class of 2024!
