Underground Utility Foreman

We are now hiring workers who will specialize in underground site utility construction including installation of water, storm, sanitary and associated work. Our teams place pipe in and out of ditches—positioning, joining, aligning and sealing pipe.

The foreman will be responsible for ensuring that job site conditions are well maintained as well as jobsite and employee safety are being upheld to the highest standards. This position will serve as a point of contact between on-site employees and supervisors and will assist in coordinating and delegating tasks as instructed. The foreman will also work on and help supervise construction projects in an equipment operator/laborer capacity as needed. Oversee and operate various excavation equipment as well as construction work involving physical labor to build sewer, water, storm sewer, and a variety of underground utility work. May include transferring from one task to another, and ability to work without close supervision is required.

As an UNDERGROUND UTILITY FOREMAN, you will:

  • Be responsible for being at work on time each day as specified by supervisor.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related construction field, with foreman or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
  • Aptitude in math
  • Ability to organize a work schedule
  • Ability to solve disputes between workers
  • Ability to delegate and ensure proper execution of tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift; bending and lifting up to 100 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to grade and level rock and dirt
  • Ability to assemble pipe and conduit
  • Ability to follow other duties as assigned
  • Performs routine maintenance on various equipment used.
  • Labor, lifting, digging, concrete work
  • Other various duties as assigned.
  • Cut and fill, and grade elevation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities
  • Supervise and train workers
  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • Resolve any problems as the arise
  • Report on the progress to project managers
NOW HIRING QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WHO WILL:
